Progress Not Perfection - IV

I bought "Gone, but never forgotten" for me and two other coworkers. My father died when I was 8, and since then many others in my life have died. So I really liked wearing this bracelet on days that I wanted to feel connected to my dad. Yesterday, when I was getting ready for work, it felt like a day to wear it. Within 30 minutes of starting my day, I read an email from a coworker who shared with me that her step dad had died suddenly the day before and that she was a mess and after that day, was going to be gone on bereavement leave. I walked to her office right away, gave her a huge hug and asked her to tell me what happened. We cried, talked, hugged. Then, a light went off! I pulled off my bracelet and gave it to her. She read it and cried, and said, "but this is for you and your dad", and I said, "nah, you need it more than I do right now". She LOVED it. It's helping her feel connected while she goes through this grief. WHAT A GREAT STORY! I can't wait to buy these and have them ready for students. ❤️
