This ZOX is inspired by a beautiful and challenging call to action from Colossians 3:12-14. It reads:
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Loving like Jesus is no small task, is it? It means going beyond our comfort zones, extending kindness, and forgiving, even when you really, really don't want to. It's about seeing others through the eyes of compassion and understanding, just as Jesus did.
For me, this verse is a constant reminder of the kind of love we are called to embody in everything we do. The pattern of tiny crosses on this ZOX represents the countless acts of love, big and small, that make a difference in the world. Each cross is a symbol of the love Jesus showed us through his life, his teachings, and his ultimate sacrifice.
This bracelet is my way of holding on to that promise and reminding myself, and you, to love like Jesus - I hope you wear it as a symbol of that commitment.
