When I first started working on a name for this bracelet, I thought of the old Native American saying 'another feather in your cap'. It's this idea that the accomplishments we have are things we should be proud of - they're wins we should wear with pride.
As I reflected on this more, I remembered this quote I had come across a long time ago that just reflected so perfectly with that idea that I had to put it on the card:

There are more times than I can count in my life where I've been chasing feathers that may have been important to others, but never really mattered to me. A big part of that is likely just influence - we think that since everyone else is doing / working towards / loving something, that's what we should love (and measure our life by) too.
Isadora's quote is so beautiful because it speaks the truth amid a sea of fiction - if we're honest with ourselves, we know what really matters and what does not. The amazing part of it all is that by being true to who we really are, we skip all those boring chapters and get right to the good stuff - the part where the story gets really, really good.
That's my hope for each of you with this absolutely beautiful reminder. Wear it with pride as you remember it's your story you're writing.
