For today's story, I'm going to tell you the secret of how to slow down time.
You see, ever since my kids were born, I've had this really somber longing to slow down time as much as I could. I'd get this deep heartache as I'd look at old videos of my kids, remembering what it was like to hear their adorable little voices.
The interesting thing is that when you're taking these videos, they never really seem that special - it's just part of daily life. But when you look back, you realize just how special and meaningful they really were.
Bonfires, for me, are one of those ways that I slow down time with my family. No technology, no distractions - just a warm fire, cozy seats and time with one another. They've become something where, despite my shorter memory of other things, I can always recall the times we spend together there.
