As someone who likes to have a plan for everything, that’s also a bit of a downfall for me. Why? Because as much as I can plan, it doesn’t promise that anything will actually happen according to it. For example, when I was around fourteen, I had planned that I would be engaged by now. Am I? No, but that's okay.
The point is: we can plan, hope, prepare, and dread what could come tomorrow or days from now, but we don’t have any control over what will occur. It’s a bit of a scary thought, but it doesn’t mean we have to be scared. My favorite way of looking at it is that it gives us ample opportunity to appreciate the day we have before us: today. Tomorrow will take care of itself, but today is ours to enjoy every moment of - I hope this double reminds you of that.
