This one is for the over-carers.
The people who can feel a shift in someone’s mood from across the room. The ones who take responsibility before anyone even asks. The ones who try to fix, smooth over, manage, and hold everything together because it feels safer than letting things fall where they may. You can love someone and still let them own their choices. You can support someone without becoming their emotional backpack. You can care deeply and still have boundaries, and boundaries are not mean. They are honest. They are how you stay whole.
Wear this when you feel yourself slipping into rescuing, overthinking, or taking on weight that is crushing you. Pause and ask, is this actually mine? And if it isn’t, let it go. Some things feel heavy because you were never meant to carry them.
