We'll be donating a portion of our proceeds for every design sold on our site from our Wolf Collection to Wolf Hollow Sanctuary, a wonderful organization that's leading the way in wolf preservation in the wild through education and exposure.
I am in LOVE with this design - so much so that I couldn't help but want to make variants of it because, obviously, I love collecting. But it's a lot more than just that - the name, Trailblazer, is just so good.
When I think about wolves, I always imagine these beautiful creatures running through a snowy forest, blazing a trail. But I when I thought more about why they were blazing that trail in the first place, the perfect quote from Vincent Van Gogh came to my mind:
Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.
You see, in my mind, wolves are just running on impulse. But that's not it - wolves work in packs with a complex hierarchy that works because everyone knows how they contribute to the greater good of the group.
To me, Trailblazer was such a fun name because that thought process has been lost on so many of us - we all want to think we're the star of the show or the center of the universe. But the reality is that it's okay to be a supporting character in someone else's story too. True trailblazers don't do it for themselves, they do it because they are helping others find their way.
And that, my friend, is a ZOX I can get behind.
