Story
This Single has a very special place in my heart. It’s one of the first projects I completed upon starting at ZOX. I had been having a little bit of creative exhaustion during my first few weeks here and feared that I wouldn’t be able to produce good results. I saw this design, stared at it for about 10 minutes, and wrote the card text down. “When the heart leads, we discover where we’re meant to be.”
I sent it for approval and was shocked when I was met with a very positive response. I’d been so worried that my creative burnout had prevented me from doing well with this strap, but I was pleasantly surprised and proved wrong. This text has been etched into the far reaches of my mind since then. I grew up learning to listen to the voice in my head, but in recent years, I’ve been encouraged to listen to what my heart says, too.
Sometimes, my mind has some pretty great ideas, but I also overthink. My heart, however, can be more straightforward. I can tell whether or not I feel good about a situation based on the way my heart reacts rather instantly. You can just feel it when you’re in a good place, and you know innately when you’re in a bad place. Our hearts are roadmaps to the destinations we seek. We just need to listen to them a little more often, and I hope that, with this gorgeous single, you’ll be able to hear what yours is saying.
